Remembering your loved one

Remembering someone who has died is a deeply personal experience. Creating a tribute or making a donation in memory of a loved one can be a meaningful way to honour their memory while helping Spoons continue to support families through the neonatal journey and beyond.

Create a Tribute Fund

A tribute fund is a lasting online space where family and friends can come together to remember someone special.

Through MuchLoved, you can share memories, photographs and messages, mark important dates, light a virtual candle, and invite others to make a donation in their memory. Your tribute page can remain online for as long as you wish, creating a special place to remember your loved one.

If you have any questions or would like support setting up a tribute fund, please get in touch with our fundraiser at sammy@spoons.org.uk.

Organise a funeral collection

A funeral collection is a meaningful way for family and friends to honour someone special while supporting the work of Spoons. Donations can help ensure that families receive support during some of the most challenging times.

Many families choose to ask for donations in lieu of flowers at a funeral, memorial service or celebration of life.

You may wish to create a JustGiving page to collect online donations, or collect cash donations at a funeral service. However you choose to organise a funeral collection is entirely up to you.

Our team are here to provide guidance and support if you would like to arrange a funeral collection in memory of someone special.

Donate in memory

Giving a gift in memory of someone special is a meaningful way to honour their memory while supporting the work of Spoons. Your support helps Spoons provide peer support on neonatal units, bring families together through community groups, and offer trauma and bereavement support to families who have experienced neonatal care.

You can make a donation online through our JustGiving page or contact our team to discuss other ways to donate.

We're here for you

For many families connected to Spoons, remembering someone special may be linked to the death of a baby. We understand that grief is deeply personal, and that everyone’s experience of bereavement is different.

If your baby has died and you would like support, you can get in touch with our team by completing our referral form or by emailing us. We can help you access the support, information and services available through Spoons. For more information, contact us at care@spoons.org.uk.

Whenever you feel ready, we are here for you.
